StudoChart ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, disclosure, and protection of information that is collected through our mobile application and website ("Service"). This policy is designed to comply with Google Play Store Developer Policies and other applicable privacy laws.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information to provide and improve our Service:

  • Personal Information: Name, email address, and academic profile (college, course, department, year, semester) provided during account creation.
  • User-Generated Content (UGC): PDFs, study notes, quizzes, marks, and other materials you upload to the platform.
  • Device Information: Device model, operating system, unique device identifiers, and App version for analytics and troubleshooting.
  • Usage Data: Interaction with features, time spent on the App, and navigation paths.

3. How We Use Information

Your information is used to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the StudoChart platform.
  • Authenticate users and secure accounts.
  • Facilitate the sharing of User-Generated Content between students and teachers.
  • Send push notifications for important updates (you can opt-out).
  • Analyze App usage to improve performance and user experience.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted third-party services that help us operate our App:

  • Firebase (Google): For authentication, secure database hosting, and usage analytics.
  • Google AdMob: For displaying advertisements. We use non-personalized ads to minimize tracking.

5. Data Deletion and Your Rights

You have the right to access, edit, or delete your data at any time.

  • Account Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly within the App by navigating to Settings or by contacting us at support@studochart.in.
  • Data Retention: Upon account deletion, all your personal data and User-Generated Content will be permanently removed from our active servers within 30 days.

6. User-Generated Content (UGC) Policy

StudoChart relies on user-uploaded materials. To ensure a safe environment:

  • Users must not upload offensive, illegal, or copyrighted material without permission.
  • We provide in-app features to flag/report inappropriate content and block abusive users.
  • We reserve the right to remove any content that violates our Terms & Conditions and ban users who repeatedly violate these rules.

7. Children's Privacy

StudoChart is intended for college and university students. The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us to have it deleted immediately.

8. Security

We use industry-standard encryption to protect your data during transit and at rest. While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

9. Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of any significant changes through an in-app notice or via email.
